SENS-A-BRAKE - http://www.sensabrake.com/

Sens-a-Brake has been enthusiastically received by the boating industry. All trailers, by law, that weigh 2 tonne or over when loaded must incorporate a power assisted brake application, and a break away system that applies the trailer brakes automatically should the towing vehicle and trailer become separated. Until recently, a vacuum system was the only solution. This is not only expensive but often means the warranty of the tow vehicle is voided.

By using the Sens-a-Brake actuator the hydraulic disc brakes are now legal for rigs over 2 tonne and perform exceptionally well. Sens-a-Brake is made up of a trailer mounted actuator and a sophisticated in-car kit which uses a unique pedal mounted pressure pad to provide proportional trailer braking.

The Sens-a-Brake actuator utilises stored energy (compressed air) and immediate braking is available as soon as the driver applies pressure to the brake pedal. This is a unique feature as other electro-hydraulic systems are activated by pumping the brake to build up pressure causing significant delay in braking in an emergency stopping situation.

When tri-axles with hydraulic brakes or calipers are used then the “big bore” Sens-a-Brake kit should be selected to ensure sufficient fluid displacement is available to efficiently operate the brakes.

Sens-a-Brake is easy to install for a new or an existing trailer and will give boat owners peace of mind when towing.

Attention!

If drum brakes are being used,a Residual Line PressureValve must be installed inthe hydraulic line.

This must be located BEFORE any split in the hydraulic line immediately after or as closeas practicable to the master cylinder port.

Residual Line Pressure Valves are available from brake specialists.
